I need new music.
Asap. My library is archaic, naw whadda I mean?
I'm taking up Jackson suggestion and looking into refused, there's some Steve Aoki I'm checking out too...,mainly I'm looking for things to make me move, make me feel, make me rock the fuck out.
Pass it on yo, I'm impressionable.
Three albums I've been listening to A LOT lately (left Refused out for obvious reasons):
ReplyDelete-Born Ruffians, "Red Yellow & Blue" (this one's a little weird on first listen, but is definitely climbing up there for me now that I've listened to it a gajillion times. SO good.)
-Tom Waits, "Heartattack & Vine" (this one's not a new listen for me by any stretch, but I've picked it back up recently and re-fallen in love with it. It's a good balance between his gritty stuff and his ballads, and a good start for anybody who isn't really familiar with him.)
-Neko Case, "Middle Cyclone" (you may already have this one, but if you don't, it's a must-have for the female-voice collection. The only thing I didn't like about the New Pornographers was not enough Neko, and this album amply fulfills that desire.)
And while we're talking about them..
-New Pornographers, "Mass Romantic". Or "Twin Cinema".
Is this okay? I hope I didn't leave too deep an impression.

I am sooo lazy about getting new music. If you find anything cool (that Jackson didn't suggest, since we share an iTunes library) send it my way.
