Morning Blog Viewings.

There are a few blogs I've been digging lately, I thought I'd pass 'em on since it IS the season of giving...Okay so it's not the season of giving, however it is the morning of Laurgiving. .Distillery District Shopping Finds.

To continue on our quest to rediscover Toronto, Matt and I headed east today to an arts and crafts sale in the distillery district. I thought of some of my crafty friends when I came across these gems.

Side note, I'm getting pretty proud of my photos lately. Big thanks to Matt for lending me his Canon point and shoot today! (and for being so patient while I took a billion pictures of necklaces :)

The cheese shape and mango smell had me drooling. (and my senses very confused as to why I couldn't.)

.July Wanderings.

I've been having such a lovely summer and it wouldn't be what it's been without adventuring around Toronto. I can't express how much I love the city in the summer. Matt and I went wandering down Queen West and then up to Bloor St the other day and found some really neat spots. :)











This piece just amazed me. It was in the middle of Trinity Bellwoods park. I wonder how long it took to do.

I have to say, if you're in the Queen St area and you want some yummy eats head west to the Trinity Bellwoods area and go to Nadege. When I walked in, the sparse decor and sparkling clean white laminate counter-tops reminded me of a swanked out laboratory. We split a smoked salmon with cream cheese and cucumber sandwich on a croissant($7.50). Followed by a rose flavored macaroon and a chocolate wild berry macaroon($2.00 a piece). Washed down with a lemon grass and ginger flavored sparkling water ($3.50). The patio was beautiful, the staff graceful and polite and the food more than wicked. Every bite was savored. Best food I've had in a long while.





We continued on for a walk up Markham Rd. I really want to try some of these restaurants. (Markham & Bloor St W). There was also a cute little art shop on this road with this interesting piece out front.







The picture doesn't do this place justice. The patio is adorable. It really looks like something straight out of a Tennessee Williams novel. Bayou and Creole inspired with a dash of romance; vines cover the overhang and drape across the the grey stone deck, which is furnished with burnt umber colored wooden patio furniture.Each table is spaced out from one another which gives the feeling of seclusion. In my opinion it's the perfect place for any couple that wants a great patio as well as a romantic dinner. Did I mention it offers a $25.00 prix-fixe (three course meal, with your choice of appetizer,main and dessert for a fixed price... Whaaaat!)

We met up with my good friend "Feral Bearcat" and ended the day with a hangout in Christie Pits park. The setting sun,smokes and great conversation was end of a rather perfect wandering through downtown Toronto.
